Get to know my story.
So who am I?
I am entrepreneur. Lecturer. Director and owner of internationally successful company Silvaapis d.o.o. and author of the book “The Golden Tree”. And above all, I want to be a Human!
My mission is to share knowledge in the field of entrepreneurship and business in wood industry, in which I have been operating successfully for 25 years.
Wood was written to my DNA...
I grew up in a family where every family member encountered wood as my parents were engaged in international trade with wood products for all their life. So I felt a passion and interest in wood from my early age.
Christmas Eve was the beginning of my story
A key moment happened when I received for a Christmas gift a Swiss knife from our family friend Ingvar Kamprad, the founder and owner of company IKEA.
At that time I finally decided that I will devote my future to trading with wood.
In trouble I am always looking for new opportunities
After graduating on Biotechnical Faculty (Department for Wood Science and Technology) I took over the business of my parents but I was constantly looking for new opportunities. When Ikea terminated its cooperation with us and company turnover decreased for more than 50%, I found myself faced with a difficult decision how to continue, as the company was in serious financial problems. This was also the first serious test in my career for which I am grateful today as it gave me a lot and opened new chapters.
The moment when I found out that technical knowledge alone was not enough
I received a phone call of the former director of IKEA who invited me to a joint project of development of solid boards for the Scandinavian market. I quickly found out that technical knowledge alone was not enough to set up a successful business. I started to upgrade my knowledge and to learn new (soft) skills.
Continuous learning. The only constant in life is Change.
In the following years when I successfully finished my Master Degree at the Faculty of Economics I educated a lot in the field of »soft knowledge«; personal growth, sales, marketing, relationships, leadership etc. This knowledge has helped me a lot at development of several productions. Thus I also developed a very successful cluster which successfully deals with marketing of wood and wood products worldwide today.
The Golden Tree
In 2017, I published my first book, “The Golden Tree,” which is read by successful businessmen in the timber industry around the world. Many entrepreneurs who deal with wood like to tell me that this is their “herb” in business.
Sharing is caring
All gained knowledge and skills have vitally contributed to my business and personal success. As I do not want to keep them only for myself I am glad to share them with entrepreneurs who would like to succeed on the field of sale and marketing of wood and wood products.

MY PROMISE
I never promise my friends, my acquaintances and my business partners anything impossible and anything which I would not be able to fulfill. I am a calm person who does not jump into an »empty pool« but realistically stands on the floor.
I can promise you that with me you will get a credible and skilled professional with rich experiences, a person who will help you to better results (personal and business). You will meet a person who is able to connect threads and to knit an intelligent and logical whole. And thanks to the knowledge and experience that I have, this whole can be much better.
